Paul Juarez, PhD, is Professor and Vice Chair of Academic Affairs. He is also the Director of the Division of Community-based Research and Training.
Dr. Juarez joined the faculty at Meharry Medical College in August 2004. He has extensive experience in academic family medicine including leadership positions in community medicine, research, and health information technology. His previous experience includes the Director of Research and Evaluation at White Memorial Medical Center in East Los Angeles and Director of Research and Telehealth for the Department of Family Medicine at Charles R. Drew University. Dr. Juarez has extensive experience as Principal Investigator/Project Director on many research, training, and service grants and has taught distance education courses at CA State University, Long Beach in the Master of Social Work program.
